Thai authorities are considering evacuation plans for around 300 Thai citizens living in Sudan, following an escalation in fighting between government and rebel forces. Many Thais there are students, others are working while  some have married locals.  Khartoum airport is closed due to the violence which is likely to delay any evacuation attempt. 

 

The gun used in the fatal shooting of a popular net idol belonged to the father of her military cadet boyfriend, who was also found dead in the same condominium.


Police say the pistol was legally registered to the boys father, they also believe the cadet may have shot  the 19-year-old internet idol before killing himself,


A forensic investigation should confirm the events that lead to their death. The energy regulator looks set to reduce the price of electricity from 4.77 to 4.7 baht per unit, for  three months May to August.


The proposed reduction follows complaints about high electricity prices, 
Debts owed to the the electricity company egat also effect the price charged to consumers. 


Egat  posted an accumulated loss of 150 billion baht after subsidising the price of electricity from September 2021 until the end of last year.

A Singaporean man is expected to be hanged next week for abetting an attempt to smuggle 1 kilo of cannabis into the city state, in a resumption of executions after a half-year pause,  His family was notified in a letter that he would be executed next Wednesday,  Singapore, which has harsh drug laws, executed 11 people last year for drug offenses.

 

Myanmar Military airstrikes continued and clashes with The Karen National Liberation Army reportedly displaced local villagers close to the thai border.        

 

“The junta forces suffered a high number of casualties. Reports say there were junta soldiers’ bodies scattered everywhere,  the junta returned with Fighter jets  to attack the area.
