Connecting several AC units to one master controller

Hi everyone,

is it possible to connect several AC unit (same brand and model) to one wired master control box?

And then from this box connect to an external automation system?

Just need to be able to adjust the temperature. Mode (cooling) and fan speed (possibly low or medium) will be fixed once the units are running.

Yes. It's possible but most units are designed to accept inputs wirelessly. So it could get complicated and expensive fast.

You want to control them external to the site, what lead you to that solution to begin with, what's your desired outcome, in other words, why this way?

What's the problem you're solving?

Do you have a grow?

If you do, there are websites devoted to those challenges with technology.

The more detail you can share the more alternatives or solutions are likely to emerge in reply.

if the unit is capable of wired remote option, there's usually a solution that's a box/board you plug into where the remote's supposed to go that will give you remote access over internet and your flavor of home automation from google home to Home Assistant, this is better than the manufacturer's own solution with app that will go unsupported

second to that is internet controlled remote that can blast off/on and temperature at the aircon,

But these will be for individual unit, so no central control but you can control them individually from your phone or computer, is that central enough

The units are domestic ones with IR remote controls. And also no temperature display on the units anymore (new design...).

The problem I try to solve is to 1. run them all at the same temperature without running around with the IR remote and checking each unit individually and 2. set the temperature from a single wired controller and connect this controller to the Trolmaster system

As you know by now, yes it is a grow. And yes, it is very badly planned with domestic air cons, I am aware of this. I wasn't involved in the planning stage as I joined this company just recently and trying to fix all these errors....
