Another Uyghur refugee dies after 9 years in Thailand detention centre

Nasty has nothing to do with it, look what 'empathy' has ended up doing to the UK, thousands turning up in boats claiming asylum when they have no right to and being put up in hotels costing millions a week. Thailand has to be admired for their approach, boats turn up - tow them back out to sea, illegals arrested put them in a detention centre. Almost all empathy and compassion is misplaced and ends up with the host nation being taken advantage of by liars and economic migrants.

And don't forget Uyghurs were bombing in Bangkok that made Thailand surely less welcoming.

  • Absolutely disgraceful. The Thai authorities should hang their heads in shame. Being detained for 9 years is bad enough but to be held in that hell hole is absolutely barbaric.

Could be a hundred reasons, who cares why he ended up here. The point is how the Thai authorities treated him.

Thailand has enough problems with muslims, without importing numbers from China who would not integrate any better here.

And interestingly Turkey does not want to take them as well.....And Thailand is not really on the way if they want to escape to Turkey. But OK it could have been that they wanted to go to Malaysia

Uyghurs seeking asylum have a close affiliation with Turkey, estimates range from 50,000 to over 200,000 of them currently there. Both groups speak a Turkic language and there is supposed to be a 60% compatibility between the two versions.

Since 1952, Turkey has offered asylum to Uyghurs fleeing from the Xinjiang region.

Of course I was amazed to read your comment, but I see truth in it.

Just checked with google.

However Turkey is changing now in behavior, due to trade with China and therefor money and Erdogan and associates are easy to be influenced.

So i state again, there are no human rights.

Thailand send back Uyghurs, knowing they wouldnt stand a chance then in China. Direct to rehabilitation centers. Those werent approved by Turkish back ground checking? Thailand doesnt know, of course they know. They just ignore their Budhistic ways. As any group with a religion ignore.

Only religion, strongest religion is ,,, money

Never the less, for long time the Khurds are suppressed by Turkish government.

Humans always form groups and then always it goes wrong.

The worst group is consisting of "3" persons, namely the group me, myself and I and they are even working in other groups.

We , humans, are so clever, but on the other hand ,,,ugly stupid.
