Yes. We're all baffled as to how the man who regularly does something that is likely to introduce tape worms to his stomach ended up with a tape worm in his stomach. ????

I guess some things simply defy all explanation... ????

I detest Trump for a variety of reasons, and now he's given me one more. So what if Trump called? FIFA could have refused to take the call or it could have said no. You don't know what went on behind the scenes with Portugal. Ronaldo's offence was far more serious than Baloguns, and the only reason 1 game was served was because the appeal was late in being filed and there were 3 games that applied. It is hypocrisy to pick one event and not the other. The reality is that the Football federations are corrupt. This is a business, not a charity. FIFA will do whatever needs to be done to maximize profit. How quickly the allegations of bribery and payoffs that marred the selection of the last WC site have been forgotten. World Cup and Olympics are all about making money for private business interests, not sport.
