A large king cobra measuring 4.20 meters in length and weighing 7.6 kilograms was found hiding in a resort in Dan Chang District, Suphanburi Province.

Chanpen Ngernruangroj, a local resident, discovered the snake while inspecting the resort's premises and alerted the Suphanburi Rescue Foundation for assistance.

Volunteer Mr. Nirun Mankong and his team from the rescue foundation promptly arrived with the necessary equipment, including ropes, nooses, and iron hooks. Despite the cobra's attempts to fight back, the rescuers successfully captured the snakem reported Siam Rath.

Mankong believes the king cobra had been living in the nearby forest and ventured into the resort area due to the dry season's high temperatures and difficulty in finding food.

He warns residents in the Dan Chang district, known for its king cobra population, not to attempt capturing the snakes themselves and to notify the rescue foundation if they encounter any, as handling the reptiles can be dangerous.

Beautiful looking snake, even if deadly.

Agreed, a beautiful specimen, probably looking for a drink of water rather than food.
