Phetchaburi — In separate cases, Thai police apprehended a French national for alleged theft against a Belgian victim and arrested another Myanmar suspect for alleged human trafficking in the Phetchaburi province, central Thailand, on May 13th.

Phetchaburi Police rounded up a French suspect identified only as Mr. Patrick on suspicion of theft against a Belgian man, Mr. Laffel C, yesterday at his residence in the Phetchaburi province.

The suspect allegedly stole the victim’s backpack in which he kept seven valuable belongings worth a total of 150,000 baht and escaped, Thai media reported. However, shortly after the victim filed a report, police put an arrest warrant on Patrick, leading to his arrest yesterday.

Words escape me, a French guy, living in a house like that, stealing a backpack?

There is much to this story that needs telling, methinks.

A guess...Belgian guy owes Frenchie money, French goes to meet him and "confiscates" his possessions in lieu of payment and stuffs them in backpack.

Belgian guy grasses Frenchie... Police come... "It's all a misunderstanding"

CASE CLOSED
