banglay
Hello All ,,,, I am a solo traveler and have booked a hotel (JP ) already for the rocket festival weekend (4 night) and I would like a bit of local knowledge as to where are the best places to have a beer and get some food and watch the world go round ,.. and any other tips that I might find useful would be kindly appreciated . Cheers Rocketeers ????
gimo
JP Hotel is walking distance to the action .If you have a car best not use it during Rocket Fest if you don't know your way around Yasothon . Like most of Thailand beer is available everywhere . There's a very friendly group of Thais and Farangs at the far end ( from your direction ) of the night market most nights . Outside food everywhere , Khun Ya is a good air Con restaurant -- 10 min walk from JP . A lot of ATMs run out of money during the RF as they did recently during Songkran . You'll need cash for everything so get sorted in the day , before you go out .

Thanks for the update. During the Yaso bike weekend, a local restaurant owner informed our group of the situation.
