You won't be getting any cheap beer boys. ( dream on )

You will be paying a very nice premium for your special beer.

Sure nice to have a choice. but I'm not bothered at all.

Drank the local brews all-round the word, Thailand's local brew,  is not that bad in comparison. ( Star Larger, Nigeria ) :giggle:

I some how can't see people  cracking open a craft beer for breakfast.

Right 6.44, time for a breakfast beer, small can of Leo today.

There's no reason Thai Craft Beer shouldn't be much cheaper than current foreign Craft Beer.

They have little shipping costs and no import tax.

This is something Thai Craft Beer pubs need to think about.

Most Thai Craft Beer I've had (brewed in / out of Thailand) is too weak and not a lot of flavor.

Given the abysmal quality of the major Thai beer brands, the worst in S.E. Asia, I salute the initiative and hope there will be more and better choices. However, I am a bit puzzled how a party that is so opposed to marijuana (btw, an impressive u-turn by Mr Pita on the subject), is now so keen to promote alcohol consumption.

Mr Pita is out to promote a free market in the production of alcohol in Thailand , that is not promoting alcohol consumption .

I think quality ingredients will need to be shipped in. ( import and shipping costs)

I don't think they will be able to mass produce good craft beer and at reasonable cost.

I think the big boys will produce there own brand of craft  beers

just to bust others out the market.

But I'm all for choice.

Time will tell.

Light at the end of the tunnel...

I hope one of the small breweries can make a decent bitter or porter?

I'm tired of the endless weak tasteless lagers.

I'm with you 100%, or maybe more, on that one.

I think this is still about, not the best as a breakfast beer.

but ok for an alcohol hit 8% to boot and a different flavor ( not the best )

They already do produce their own pseudo craft crap -  Snowy, U2, ....

They even have the can art so unassuming buyers don't notice it's from the big oligarchy families.

I don't drink Thai beer anymore because it's just so bad... even worse, I've begun to consider the regular Budweiser from the Philippines as the best bang-for-the-buck at around 65 baht for a 500ml can, as it has become fairly ubiquitous everywhere now. Some of the larger malls have good booze sections, but they aren't cheap.
