Royal Cliff Hotels Group and AssetWise join forces to drive Thailand to become a leading sports destination

Pattaya – The partnership between Royal Cliff Hotels Group and AssetWise was forged through their aligned values in making Thailand a leading sports destination especially for Tennis.

 

The first event that the two companies worked together on was organizing the successful ITF Masters Tennis Championship held in November. The tournament attracted around 200 players from across the globe with the oldest player being over 80 years old.

 

From this event and with Royal Cliff’s expertise in organizing multiple sports activities came the idea of creating 2 international Tennis events. The first event will be the first time that the 2 organizations have done which is the Junior Tennis Tournament.

The second event will be the repeat of the ITF Masters which Royal Cliff has been granted the highest grade in Asia by International Tennis Federation. The two events will be taking place at the resort’s Fitz Club, luxury fitness centre, on 3 – 4 June and 18 – 24 November 2023 respectively.  

 

The sport projects is supported by a number of governmental agencies and officers who appreciate the goals and contribution to the country.

 

A press conference to discuss and explain more about the sports initiative was held at Fitz Club. Khun Vitanart Vathanakul, the CEO delivered the opening speech and welcomed honorable guests including Deputy CEO of AssetWise PLC Khun Paneeta Malaivongs and Marketing Director of Tecnifibre Mr Wee Lim – the two main sponsors of both events.

 

Other honorable guests present at the press conference included Member of the Pattaya City Council Khun Damrongkiat Phinitkarn, Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office Director Khun Anoma Vongyai and Marketing Representative of Eastern Meetings Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E) Khun Rattanachai Sutthidechanai.

The AssetWise Junior Thailand Championship will feature singles and doubles for players of all levels. Players can earn points toward a national ranking.

 

Over 200 young athletes have registered to join the tournament to sharpen their skills and have some fun. The numbers of participants have exceeded the record set by other venues.

 

Beside the competitive matches, there will be a tennis clinic by coaches of Fitz Club to help prepare players before the games start. The event will also have live food stations and a kids’ corner with games and prizes for everyone. Medical officers and support services will be on hand for players throughout the tournament.

 

As one of the most prestigious tennis competitions in Asia, the ITF MT-700 Masters Championship has seen over 200 players from across the globe competing in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The event accepts players of the ages between 35 to 75 of all skill levels and nationalities.

 

 

ITF MT-700 Masters Championship is regarded as a significant tournament on the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour calendar and offers an opportunity to earn points toward a global ranking. With the restrictions of travel being lifted we are expecting over 250 players from across the globe to attend.

A major sports destination? The article is just a long boring puff for the sport of tennis which might be limited to indoor air-condioned venues except in the cooler months. How many world-class stadia exist in LOS and Olympic size swimming pools?
