Thailand has an opportunity to bring stability to Myanmar, this according to Move forward partly leader Mr Pita in a TV interview, he added he held talks with both China and the U.S and both countries want stability, while thailand has a lengthy border, the coalition government would restore Thailand’s leading role in Asean and work to curb the violence in Myanmar.

 

Mr Pita was later asked to comment on the sale of his shares in a TV media company but stated the matter was made clear by his press secretary, a prime ministerial candidate is not permitted to hold shares in media.  

 

Organisers and  Bangkok’s deputy governor yesterday apologized for damage to students' graduation-related artworks when participants in the Bangkok Pride event entered the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre over the weekend.


Students tried to save their work but the management of the Bangkok Art Centre apparently failed to protect the students' exhibits.

 

Three men and three women were arrested in Surat thani for allegedly selling bogus overseas tours worth about 27 million baht. 


The Arrests followed complaints from 99 local customers who bought tour packages for trips to Japan and Europe, but their trips never materialised. 

 

Large quantities of dead fish were found at a reservoir close to the Mayanmar border just south of Prachuabkhirikhan during the last week. There has been concern for local villagers who rely on water from the reservoir, however examinations of the fish and the water found no unusual substances or reason for the deaths. Investigations continue.

 

The tourism association in 14 southern provinces is calling on the Transport Ministry to ease regulations to allow tour buses from Malaysia to travel beyond Songkhla to other provinces.


The idea is to boost the southern economy through increased tourism from Malaysia

Police yesterday arrested a woman who confessed to killing her three daughters – aged two, four and about six – inside their flat in Kowloon.


the woman called police claiming her husband had stabbed her and her three daughters inside their home,
Doctors say the children died of suffocation, the woman later admitted to ending the children's lives.
