Upon questioning the store staff, it was revealed that the aforementioned man had requested to see a 5-baht gold necklace before grabbing it and making a run for it.

The suspect, described as having a stout build, wearing a black shirt, jeans, flip-flops, and sporting a crew-cut hairstyle, was last seen fleeing towards the side of the mall that connected to a small eatery called Pitsadan.

Further information was provided to the authorities by a witness who claimed to have seen the suspect parking his green Yamaha motorcycle near Pitsadan and then escaping on it.

The police immediately alerted all checkpoints throughout the province and became suspicious of the suspect's whereabouts near the intersection of Sam Yoei, heading towards Bang Ao, Ban Na district.

However, the suspect changed his appearance, wearing a gray jacket over the black shirt and swapping his jeans for three-quarter-length trousers, making it difficult for the officers to identify him.

The police engaged in a pursuit, driving approximately 30-40 kilometers, and attempted to signal the suspect to stop, but he stubbornly refused. Finally, the authorities managed to apprehend the perpetrator at Moo 9, Bang Ao, Ban Na district, Nakhon Nayok.

The suspect was later identified as Mr. Nattawut Srikamol, also known as "Bom," aged 31. When questioned by police about his motive, Mr. Bom revealed that he had lost his job and was facing financial difficulties, which led him to commit the crime.

During a search, the police found a 5-baht gold necklace, the stolen item, in Mr. Bom's left pants pocket.

Throughout the investigation, Mr. Bom repeatedly admitted his guilt, and he was taken into custody for further questioning at Mueang Nakhon Nayok Police Station.

It was later revealed that Mr. Bom had recently been released after serving a sentence related to a previous property theft case before committing this new offense today.
