Fact check: Debunking Trump’s blizzard of dishonesty about his federal indictment

Former President Donald Trump has responded to his federal indictment the way he has responded to various other crises – with a blizzard of dishonesty.

In posts on his social media platform and in Saturday speeches in Georgia and North Carolina, Trump made numerous false or misleading claims about his handling of classified documents, the FBI’s conduct in the related investigation, the Presidential Records Act, his dealings with the federal government prior to the search of his Mar-a-Lago club and residence, and President Joe Biden’s own handling of documents.

Here is a fact check of 10 of the indictment-related claims Trump has made since the 37 federal charges against him were unsealed on Friday.

Notice the weasel words. "probably planted", what is that? He either did or didn't and Trump has to know if he had those documents or not. He doesn't have what it takes to directly accuse Smith unequivocally.

"This is the Thug, overturned consistently and unanimously in big cases, that Biden and his CORRUPT Injustice Department stuck on me," Trump wrote.

"He’s a Radical Right Lunatic and Trump Hater, as are all his friends and family, who probably 'planted' information in the 'boxes' given to them. They taint everything that they touch, including our Country, which is rapidly going to HELL!"

If we all just assume every word out of Trump's mouth--and in print--is a lie, we'd be right about 90% of the time.  I'm starting to believe that Trump is incapable of telling the truth.  If one day Trump was to give a speech that was 100% truthful, his head would explode.

Make America Sane Again!

Facts are the truth.

Too many can't handle the truth.

The people who can't handle the truth call the people who can handle the truth

"Snowflakes"

They use this mockingly because the truth is that every snowflake is unique and special.

Yet somehow, this is an insult?

What's the opposite of a snowflake then?

It's something very un-American, it's masses and masses of perfect replicas, all marching and saluting that one guy who dresses differently from the rest of them.

They all think they're rugged individuals.

"We are all individuals!" They roared back at Brian in the Monty Python movie, it's not so funny in reality.

They can't see the very fragile truth, and the beauty of the freedom to just exist happily, harming no one, in each snowflake.

They want to go over the cliff of a totalitarian hell on earth with the mindless herd.

And the worst of it is, they want everyone else to go there with them.

There's no room to be you, and you will be destroyed if you are in any way different.

That's what they want for the world.

Drab fascist jackboot sameness, disguised for now as rugged patriot minutemen, or more likely, these well-armed all American guys do believe in self-governance, but in reality, they're just useful idiots.

If this is untrue, then why is "Snowflake" an insult?
