by Joseph O' Connor

image.jpeg

On Thursday, outgoing Prime Minister Prayut Chan ocha appeared at ease about the prospect of Thailand avoiding a political impasse or crisis. He confirmed that he will remain in office until a new cabinet is appointed by the King.

Key hurdle to forming the next government is the ability of eight party coalition and its supporters in parliament to find 376 seats in a July 13th vote by a combined sitting of both houses in a joint session.
