Another injured victim steps forward following escalator accident at Bangkok airport

Ten days prior to the incident involving a woman losing half of her leg at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok, a young boy experienced an escalator mishap that resulted in his foot getting trapped underneath. Fortunately, the boy made a successful recovery after receiving 11 stitches.

Don Mueang airport’s escalator accident not caused by poor maintenance

The accident on an escalator at Don Mueang airport yesterday (Thursday) might have been caused by a small object falling into the end of the escalator, causing a gap in the floor panel that trapped the leg of a passenger before it stopped automatically 20 seconds later, said Boonpong Kitwattanachai, an advisor to the mechanical engineering committee of the Thai Engineering Institute of Thailand.

PM’s soothing words for frayed nerves as he says he will continue his role up to the next cabinet

On Thursday, outgoing Prime Minister Prayut Chan ocha appeared at ease about the prospect of Thailand avoiding a political impasse or crisis. He thanked all those involved in the May 14th General Election and urged calm as the political process of forming the next government takes its course. He confirmed that he will remain in office until a new cabinet is appointed by the King.


Key hurdle to forming the next government is the ability of eight party coalition and its supporters in parliament to find 376 seats in a July 13th vote by a combined sitting of both houses in a joint session.

Phuket Airport Conducts Comprehensive Safety Inspection of Over 30 Escalators

Thailand’s barrier-free toll system: a boon for motorists – and a challenge for cheaters

Although praised for easing traffic flows, it has also been a boon for cheaters, who have sought to exploit the system’s automated license plate recognition and post-pay service.

A malfunctioning suitcase wheel is potentially behind an unfortunate incident that took place at Don Mueang airport’s moving walkways, causing a woman to lose part of her left leg, according to the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT).

Phuket yacht sweeps ashore amid severe weather, safety warnings reiterated

In an unforeseen turn of events earlier this morning, a sailing yacht near Ao Yon in the northern part of Chalong Bay, Phuket, was reported to have been forced onto the shore due to wave action. The yacht is understood to have been detached from its mooring and was seen adrift prior to being swept ashore.
