A month-long free trial on the Yellow Line of Bangkok’s monorail system ends today, according to a Thai PBS World report. The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand will now introduce fares from 15 baht to 45 baht on the line, which covers 23 stations from Lat Phrao to Samrong in Samut Prakan.

According to the report, passengers can pay by credit cards, Rabbit cards, or in cash at the stations. Drivers who want to avail of the Yellow Line service can park their vehicles at a parking lot at Lat Phrao station, where the parking fee is 15 baht for two hours, or at the parking lot at Wat Sri Iam, where the charge is 5 baht per hour.

From today, the MRTA will also introduce parking fees at the Khu Khot and Khor Por Or parking lots, for drivers taking the Green Line from Mor Chit to Khu Khot. The cost to park a car is 10 baht for 2 hours or 5 baht for 4 hours in the case of motorbikes. Drivers who use the car park without taking the train service will have to pay 20 baht an hour for cars, or 10 baht an hour for motorbikes.
