THE THIRD suspect in the murder and dismemberment of a German businessman in Chonburi last week was arrested this Wednesday (July 12) in Kanchanaburi while trying to flee across the border to Myanmar, Naewna newspaper said.

Drug-dealer’s daring escape attempt in Chumphon ends in fatal crash

A dramatic incident unfolded in Chumphon province, where a 22 year old suspected drug dealer attempted to evade arrest, resulting in a car crash involving two police vehicles. The suspect, who had a previous history of drug-related offences, didn’t survive.

Barriers, cargo containers, water cannon around parliament ahead of rally

The Thai parliament has become a fortress today (Thursday), with about 40 cargo containers being placed at the entrance, exit and around the building, while barriers have been erected on roads to cope with supporters of the Move Forward party, who are expected to turn up in droves late this afternoon to offer moral support to party leader Pita Limjaroenrat.
