Whats The Fastest Isp Around Sukhumvit 13?

Featured Replies

Best bet might be CAT (probably).

They have 6Mb SDSL (up and down) in some buildings, and being that central, it's probably worth checking if they have that in your area.

But generally you're not going to get fast connections in Thailand even spending silly money.

i.e. If you're used to 16-24Mb (Europe), or 50-100 Mb (Korea/Japan), you can forget about it.

yep, i keep on screwed around on speed....the absolute fastest speeds ive ever gotten was in the laksi area around impact convention center, close to where the main switch is....blindingly fast speeds.

if i get a dedicated line....would it be faster than these regular consumer lines?

In theory... But in theory a 4mbit line runs faster than a 2mbit line :o

I have a 4meg adsl from True on Soi 23 and the results are good for anything local. I downloaded the new itunes at aroung 425Kb/sec the other day. Anything outside Thailand is not too bad considering the infrastructure.

Had the same package here near Soi 49 for about a year, quite happy with it, it's usually pretty fast, and quite often get close to max on it. Mainly use it for downloading demos etc to my PS3, some of them are over a Gig and take less than an hour. I think it's probably the quickest residential package available, and fairly reliable for me at least anyway. Worth the 2,200 Baht/month IMO.

The speed should be guaranteed, but the price will be way more expensive than a residential package. If money's no object, then that would be your best option, but for most people it's just too expensive.
