On the evening of July 30, an unsettling event occurred close to the Jong Ang Temple, located by the raised pathway in Bang Khun Thian, along the Phra Ram 2 route in Samut district of Bangkok.

Sodarat, a 52-year-old caretaker of the temple who also provides water to pilgrims, was reportedly injured in the torso by an unidentified middle-aged male, reported Siam Rath.

Onlookers recounted that the attacker, seemingly dressed in a mundane fashion with a simple shirt, denim trousers, and a common haircut, appeared to be a visitor to the temple.

As narrated by Thongjan, an eyewitness aged 46, a short dispute arose between Sodarat and her attacker. In her defense, Sodarat tried to use a chair against the man, who responded by wounding her with a blade. She called out to construction workers in the vicinity for assistance, but the perpetrator managed to escape.

Law enforcement is vigorously on the lookout to apprehend the offender and initiate legal proceedings.

The gutless perp escaped! Probably ran off to tell his friends about the "manly" act he just committed! Spineless wimp!
