Can ED visa be changed to retirement without leaving?

It's actually why I'm not leaving the country until I have a retirement visa, despite wanting to go back home for a visit.  

If you have to, despite having money in the bank...save yourself the stress and fear and hire an agent for the first conversion.

there are both pluses and minuses to the money game in thailand.  Use it to your advantage in advance f you got it.

I personally could not stand the idea of being held in detention and denied entry after flying across the world, etc and having to bargain and make phone calls.  Maybe some get a kick out of that thrill of last minute spy chess games.  Idk.  Rather go the wealthy route and have a red carpet laid out lol.
