Bhumjaithai party leader Anutin Charnvirakul said today (Tuesday) that the Pheu Thai-led coalition should settle the allocation of cabinet portfolios before the selection of the prime minister by parliament.

He said he believes the other parties in the coalition share his view on this matter, adding that it has been discussed between his party and Pheu Thai, but not in detail.

He went on to say that the party is not too concerned over whether it will be reallocated its current cabinet portfolios, noting that it depends on the situation and mutual agreement of all parties concerned.

all parties including MFP - they are still relevant because they got the most seats of any party and if there was an election tomorrow my guess is they would have a majority of the house on their own

No he's not. He may be 100% devoid of any morals or ideals but he ain't no fool.

If he and Newin's family aren't  allocated the A grade ministries they want ( loads of money!!!), then it may be difficult to vote for any PT Prime Minister.

Know what I mean, Mr Thaksin?

Nobody does that

Mmmm, well we can always hope.

Amid pressure from coalition partners regarding the negotiation for ministerial seats, Pheu Thai Secretary-General Prasert Chantararuangthong stated that such discussions would only take place after the PM voting.

They just want to know what they get or they won't vote for the PM and switch tactics to get back into the money grab

He will ensure his lofty role before the vote, or watch him threaten to walk.

Regardless, it is the party's "Whip" (albeit not prescribed in the Constitution or rules of parliamentary proceedings) that controls the vote of other members  in their party and continues with other parties to carry out the parliamentary performance smoothly.  https://library.parliament.go.th
