Applying for a multiple re-entry permit at Don Mueang Airport

Featured Replies

In previous years I've always obtained a multiple re-entry permit at Chaeng Wattana.

This year I'm going to try at DMK airport as it says on the immigration website they can be 'filed at Passport Control (International Departures) in the Airport on the date of departure from the Kingdom.' (https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/re-entry-permit/)

Is the one-year multiple re-entry definitely possible to get from DMK? I've done single re-entry permits before at the airports and they take 20 or 30 minutes.

Any experience of the process at the airports?

Yes.

The office is just past immigration control.

Multiple is 3800b

I like to have the TM8 all prepared and photo attached.

It's a very quick process.

Perhaps 20 minutes.

Yes you an definitely buy a a Multiple Entry Re-Entry Permit at DMK, as well as all other major Thai international airports.

Note that it is not a 'one year' Re-Entry Permit like you wrote, but that such Multiple Entry Re-Entry Permit will simply 'protect' your current Permission to stay when exiting and re-entering Thailand.

Also be aware that at Suvarnabhumi you need to pay the 3.800,- THB in cash as they do not accept debit- or credit-cards at border Immigration, and it is therefore likely that such cash-payment will also be required when exiting Thailand via Don Mueang international airport.

The Re-Entry permit office at Don Muang shares space with the "Overstay Payment" office.  Important to let the staff know when you enter that you are there for a re-entry permit, otherwise they may direct you to wait with the overstayers, which could be a much longer wait.

How many have you done.

In my 9,  I have only ever had one person in front of me for reentry permit.

What do you mean ......

"otherwise they may direct you to wait with the overstayers,"

You also posted this in thread same topic in 2018.....

"They now insist on taking the picture and charging B200, thus B1200 total".

Nonsense. You can have your prefilled TM7 with photo.

1000b single 3800b multi.

Never taken me longer than 20 minutes.

And never seen one person paying overstay.

As I clearly wrote, the office that issues the Re-Entry permits at Don Muang is the same office that processes overstays.  When I entered one time, they assumed I was there for an overstay.  Only after I spoke up, was I directed to the Re-Entry permit desk.  I also have never waited more than 20 minutes at either DMK or BKK and never suggested that I had.

As to my 5 year old post that you term "nonsense", at that time, Immigration had introduced a system that filled out the TM7 by their own system and printed it with photos that they took for which they charged B200.  One could opt out and provide photos if one wished.

If you are going to amuse yourself by pointing out what you perceive to be inaccuracies by others, at least be accurate in doing so.

Please stop.

You referred to 2018.

Could have provided stamps from 2013 till this one.

Here is pic of my reentry permit from 2018.

Notice issued DMK.

I provided my own TM8 with photo.

Can show several others .

I was in office maybe 15 minutes.

Same as my other 9 experiences.

Most recent Dec 2022.

Please post facts. Not what you hear.

Back to OP ....You won't have any issues.

Quick simple process.

Been waiting for this..

Went to Saigon in February and being Oz need a visa.

Only available visa was 30 day eVisa.

I post to advise it's such a simple process. Took 5 business days.

Especially compared to the threads on AseanNow to obtain a eVisa for Thailand..

Yeah, looks like it leaves Thailand standing.
