Pheu Thai party’s Digital Wallet scheme is expected to be launched during the first half of next year, but before the Songkran festival in April.

 

Deputy spokesperson for the Pheu Thai party, Treechada Srithada, said today (Thursday) that viral social media claims that they have cancelled the scheme, amidst the spread of a fake application asking people to register to receive the 10,000 baht subsidy, was fake news.

 

Treechada said that the Pheu Thai-led government is determined to launch the scheme, which is currently being set up, adding that some ill-intentioned elements have spread fake news that the party has decided to scrap the scheme.

Pheu Thai keeping their word... we know how that works out.

It will take that long because the physical wallet has mysteriously vanished probably lost in the back of a fleeing taxi ????  

Let me guess: Amount is available for the people in the wallets.

And at least 3 times that amount will be allocated for "administration".

 

What could possibly go wrong?

If Phue Thai keep their pre election promise, the cost to the Country is going to be massive.

If this 10 K promise is not forth coming quickly the party has real issues to contend with

Even before this 'wallet' kicks off we know it will end up being abused, Scammed, sold off whatever. IMO

It was/is just another cynical, short term "gift to the people" (populist bribe) with no enduring value or merit.........typical fare of the Patrician Old Order.

 

And MF still beat them in the election.
