Hopefully the title hooked you in & so my question is about a shock for my Click 150i.

I have these options but don't know one from the next.

 https://www.lazada.co.th/tag/yss-click/?spm=a2o4m.pdp_revamp.search.4.3c3c5c0c7NOEdc&q=yss click&_keyori=ss&clickTrackInfo=textId--154609858566998853__abId--324452__Score--0.0050335495782973805__pvid--ae01d61c-9bda-4276-8d4f-45f56951b943__matchType--1__matchList--1-3__srcQuery--yss click__spellQuery--yss click__ctrScore--0.251789391040802__cvrScore--4.1598084499128163E-4&from=suggest_normal&sugg=yss click_2_1&catalog_redirect_tag=true

I weight 80 kg's - no passengers & just want a smother ride over the bumps and the never-ending slats in the concrete roads in the sticks.

Many thanks for any and all advice.

Have a great day. :)

Just had a quick look, and I would not even bother.

Go to a decent local scooter shop with someone who can translate and help you to get something better than that crap there. Check out Yss web page, and plot in your scoot model and year and see what they have for you

https://www.yss.co.th/th/

Many other cheaper brands to, but to much fake around, so know what you are buying

Hi, tried above website & no stock of shock absorbers.

On the Lazada listings, it does indicate genuine and they come with a year warranty.

Your Click 150i came with a stock straight rate spring/oil dampened cartridge. It does the job but it's not great.

What you want is a progressive rate spring/gas charged dampener that's adjustable by hand. A large, single piston is better than smaller, dual pistons. Shock size is 330mm.

Thank you for that. So it seems that this might be perfect ..... https://www.lazada.co.th/products/yss-g-six-click125i-click150i-12-21-330-yss-g-six-click150i-yss-g-five-click125i-i837344815-s17643144826.html?

This looks pretty good, it's the right size, it's gas charged, adjustable by hand, years 12-21. I usually do a couple weeks of research before pulling the trigger. I would definitely talk to your installer, show him the shocks your' considering. He will let you know if it will fit properly. Finally I don't know if this has 1 or 2 pistons inside I'll look for the specs and get back to you.

Yes, I found out this YSS G-Six shock has a 36mm piston inside. Seems like this checks all the boxes. Should be a lot more comfortable over small bumps be sure to check your shocks are working properly after install(it's in the YT video I sent you).

These are the DTG-Plus. Advertised as High Performance, I don't have time to check all specs right now I'll do it later tonight. But off hand they look pretty good..anything will be better than the OEM shocks.

Single piston.  Adjustment is ride height only.

Gas reservoir really should have a Schrader valve on it but it doesn't.

YSS mostly sell the good stuff for export only.  That said this is probably about as good as you will get in Thailand.

Just saying, fake shock is a huge problem in Thailand, and many riding with fakes and would never know unless someone told them.

Check certified dealers prices, and see how much different there is to your lazada or local shop.

A lot of the aftermarket shocks will be stiffer for more stability at high speeds and cornering, considering that a softer shock isn’t necessary a good thing depending on your driving style. So be mindful. Yss G-Racing is a fully adjustable shock and a little spendy. Also if you’re not Speed Racer, you can change the oil to a lower viscosity in the front fork absorbers and it will be a softer ride but the bike will nosedive at high speed breaking. There are pluses and minuses when changing shocks, though stiffer shocks are generally safer.

Op

The real problem is not the quality of shocks.

It's the over inflated tyres.

Let a few psi out the front and rear, it will make so much difference.

i have a Honda wave.

28 in the front 32 in the rear standard Tyre size and all in good condition.

works fine. ( I  ride two up most of the time )

If you say so

To have the best shocks can save you from going down one way or the other, and most Hondas and Yamahas up to 750cc has poor shocks for a foreigners weight. Now, I HAVENT tested all models, but I  general they have shocks based on a thais riders average weight.

Some models have better options than others.

Riding two up on not optimal shocks full speed 110km/h can be the factor that makes a difference compared to optimal set shocks.

Tire pressure is also an essential factor of course as well the tires pattern, condition and quality.

To many take to easy on those factors and do not botter at all.

I said up to 750, including all sizes, and please tell me once more it is not important to have good shocks on a bike if not only travel back and forth to

The local shop only?

It is up to you, but the OP want to change his shocks, why go for just something that feels stiffer, but really do not improve anything safety wise?

As I said, most do not know, or really do not care, and I can post my thoughts as much as anyone else, and if that is not important to you, fine, no problem.

A 150 travel easy 110km with two persons, on less brake capability than any bigger bike, so why not important?
