Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has asked the public to have faith in his government, as he vowed to put economic policies promised during the election campaign into immediate practice.

Speaking to the media after leading his 34 cabinet ministers in an oath-taking ceremony before Their Majesties the King and Queen at Dusit Palace, Srettha said that his government is fully aware of the pressing problems faced by the people, be they economic, social or political division, and is committed to addressing them with resolve as quickly as possible.

Regarding the “digital wallet” scheme, he said that he expects it to be launched within the first quarter of next year.

If you have to ASK the public to trust you, you've lost the game already.

  • You broke the MOU, you broke basically all your pre-election promises, have criminals in your cabinet and your defacto party leader is (still) in jail. What is there not to trust?

  • you cant expect the public to fully trust you when you didn't have a mandate from said public to begin with, can you?

Hard pressed to think of any reason not to trust them.

You got a lot to prove that your government is trustworthy till the next election.

Seeing is believing. Trust depends on performance but too much cynicism leads to nothing other than corruption and passivity.

Condemning them before they've even found where the loo is is a bit silly. Doesn't serve any useful purpose.

What else did he vow to do? I believe not jump in bed with the enemy was one such thing. Yep! Have faith in an outright liar and a party who abandoned it's support base. Have faith in a party that put the actual winner of the election under the bus. Have faith in a traitor?

remember the good old pita days.

They have showed already how much they can be trusted... How can they ask their voters and public to trust them now??? They have lost it already

trust me, you will get a "digital wallet" !!!

after betraying the majority of their camp's electorate.

a good foundation for trust.

Because his is the first to lay with dogs & not have fleas ????

Looks to be an orchestrated military coup. Put in place after the original military took over.

Honestly I see no difference.

Kinda like Xi taking the rings for life. The military set this in motion years ago. And like Xi, they will rule for ever.

And like China, looks like they will now start to heavily censor the internet, starting with Facebook, just like China.

The writing has been on the wall for a long time. They will start whipping up anti western campaigns and it will get so bad for retiree's they will basically have to leave. In the next 10 years basically no westerners living there full time.

Since the MFP got booted out they've broken just about every election promise they made... trust them.. about as far as I can pee against the wind.

Sorry. Trust has to be earned, and should never, ever be freely given. Give the people a reason to trust you. Then, maybe.

So far, all the people see is a hijacked election, and a PM with no experience.

we want to believe him, but some of us have lived here a long time,

Everybody I ask, they said they were waiting for this 10K bonanza.

In 10-years there will be people who won't be able to find girls from their own community and need to migrate yo Thailand insearch of a bride and a "wify visa"

Yes, with all the MEN migrating to the UK and USA some places in Africa and South America will be devoid of men quite soon.

How soon can a "No Confidence" debate/vote be held in Parliament?

All scammers say : "Trust me" .

You have to earn trust by your actions not by telling people you can be trusted spouting mumbo jumbo.

Remember this?

BANGKOK, 12th November 2017 (NNT) - "The Prime Minister (Prayut) has asked the public to have more faith in the government and all it is doing for the country."

Or this?

Jul 27, 2562 BE (Thai PBS World) — "Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has asked the public and parliament to have faith that the government, under his leadership, will perform ..."
