27 villages in 8 districts of Chiang Mai flooded

Flash floods and river overflows have inundated 27 villages in eight districts of Thailand’s northern province of Chiang Mai, following heavy rain during the weekend, according to the provincial Public Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office (PDPM).

 

Flooding has been reported in Chom Thong, Chiang Dao, Fang, Chai Prakan, Doi Tao, Samoeng, Mae Chaem and Hot districts, affecting 120 households, half of which are in Chom Thong district which were hit by water from the Mae Klang River which overflowed on both sides.

 

The PDPM office said today (Monday) that the situation in Hod district has returned to normal while, in Chiang Dao district, flood waters are receding.

I have very little sympathy for people who suffer from overflowing rivers. It's like the rich people in my home UK town moaning about being flooded - just flaming move !

Not everyone is able to just move to another place. But seen your lack of sympathy, or better said low emotional intelligence, you probably think people change address as easy as you change socks.
