Chinese Tourists Boost Tourism in Lampang with Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

LAMPANG, Sept 20 (TNA) – Tourism in Lampang province is thriving once again as Chinese and Taiwanese tourists have flocked to the city, enjoying horse-drawn carriage rides and contributing to the local economy.

 

Yesterday, a group of Chinese and Taiwanese tourists arrived in Lampang by tour buses from Chiang Mai Airport. They showed great interest in taking horse-drawn carriage rides around the city.

I feel sorry for the horses TIT

Wow 2 buses of tourists. I was there a few weeks ago. Saw 2 farangs and hardly any Chinese. Most of the horse guys were sitting around.

Pretty sure they have horse and carts - probably millions more - in China. Like going to Thailand to enjoy Thai food and having a hamburger

Been in that regio this y and they really not take good care for their horses. When no have peoples for a ride they let the horses standing in full sunshine without me see even a bucket of water. One man did an attempt by park the horse near a tree so the horse had 40cm of shade.

 

But for the visitors, i counted maybe 20 peoples at the moment we were there, they had many tents for shades.
