webfact Posted October 1, 2023 Share Posted October 1, 2023 THE CEO of a public-listed engineering company issued a warning that a tropical depression hanging over the Pacific has turned into Tropical Storm Koinu and as it moves westwards will hit Thailand during Oct. 9-11, Matichon newspaper said. Mr. Chawalit Chandrarat, CEO of Team Consulting Engineering and Management Plc, or Team Group, said Koinu is this year’s 14th tropical storm and has to be closely monitored and if necessary water drained from dams to receive fresh flow. Middle Aged Grouch Posted October 2, 2023 Share Posted October 2, 2023 Definately not the time to go to Thailand during Oct and Nov with the current changes of climate that are confusing all the seasons for this year. No catastrophic change. November is a game of luck. The total rainfall so far is below normal for most areas. But also not a terrible drought like years before. In Udon Thani (NE), the wet season starts in May to June, at its peak July to September, and usually ends in October. So when you say it has just started, we say it is just ending!
