snoop1130
The Thai Ministry of Energy is more concerned over the prospect of a spike in global oil prices than oil supply disruption due to Israeli-Hamas war, according to Energy Permanent Secretary Prasert Sinsukprasert. He said the ministry is closely monitoring the war between Israel and Hamas, although the situation is unlikely to have direct impacts on Thailand’s oil imports. He explained that Thailand imports about 57% of its crude oil demand from other Middle Eastern countries and 33% of liquified natural gas (LNG) from other sources. A few times the last months I've paid more than milk (per litre) for petrol. It's a tremendous inflation driver.
nobodysfriend
Neither Israel not Palestine are important producers of oil . Supply will be guaranteed by the Saudis etc ... Price might rise a bit , that's all . Oil , it seems the holy economy would crash without it ... But , the continuing burning of it harms the planet , and THAT really affects everybody , much more than inflation .
Cake Monster
With the recent reduction in Diesel prices at the pump, any promise made to keep it reduced will cost Billions of Baht more in Government subsidies on an Oil Fund that is already under pressure Another govt give away that will maybe come back to bite them
