The number of confirmed Thai citizens killed during the attack on Israel stands at 18, 
Several workers based close to the border with Gaza were unable to leave or contact officials in Israel, they used social media to call home for help. Thailand's ambassador to israel said many thai workers were now being moved to safer areas,


There are around 30,000 Thai workers in Israel, with about 5,000 in the conflict area, More than 3,000 have asked to return to Thailand.


Thailand expects to see a reduction in international arrivals  next week following the shooting at Siam Paragon and the situation in Israel. Prinme minister Sretha is due to  visit China next week which is likely to give a boost to that market combined with the visa free scheme.

 

The government is considering excluding wealthy individuals from its 10,000-baht digital wallet handout scheme, which has faced criticism for its 560 billion baht cost.


 A committee will review the proposal to provide 10,000 baht to all Thai adults over the age of 16 in a bid to boost the economy.


Former Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat attended the 112th year National Day celebration of Taiwan, last night in Bangkok. 


No Thai government representative was present at last night's event. The day was a public holiday in Taiwan.


The Department of National Water Resources has issued a warning of potential flooding in regions below large reservoirs in the North, Northeast, and Central areas starting tomorrow  for the next week. These reservoirs have already surpassed their maximum storage capacities, increasing the risk of flooding in downstream areas due to additional discharges of water.

Myanmar: 
At least 29 people, including women and children, were killed in Myanmar during an artillery strike on a refugee camp near the border with China.


The shadow National Unity Government (NUG) and the British Embassy in Yangon blamed the military for the shelling.


A spokesperson for the junta said the military was not responsible.

 

Indonesia: Bali has stepped up screenings of all tourists, particularly arrivals from India, to stave off a potential outbreak of the deadly Nipah virus, which is often contracted from animals.. 


Health officials said if a passenger showed symptoms they would be taken directly to hospital.
