Featured Replies

Mackerel & broccoli.

But the other night, got my wife to use the exotic Farang ingredient green peas in fried rice the other day.

This was canned 55b.

The frozen peas at Makro or Lotus look better would probably try that next time, but it tasted okay with the canned peas

  • Rustic pork stew, been cooking slowly since 11am. Pork butt, pearl onions, baby potatoes, green beans and carrots. Nice crusty loaf of sourdough and a green salad to go with it. Looks like lots of lef

Double Whopper, and OMG ... freshed cooked beef patties, that added quite a bit of flavor and juiciness to it. I need to specail order 'fresh cooked' in the future. I didn't, they just happened to be out at the time. Worth the wait

I didn't order the foo foo dessert, daughter did, but did test the ice cream 🙄 Just trying to post something different, and keep it interesting. Repetitive snap of Pizza Co pepperoni pizza, might get boring.

The Chicken Massaman was better last time, massaman part more flavorful and more of it. Daughter's order of the same had more sauce. I suspect the 2 orders available, as that and the Stewed Beef Green Curry usually sell out at end to the day, and it was a Sunday.

Natura Cafe, on the Thonburi side, if anyone in the hood, and want an extemely pleasant setting to impress and dine at. Kitchen closes at 5pm, or earlier during the week.

It's good to see people, especially older members, retaining the ability to look after themselves, preparing their own meals and such.

Though as you suggested, variety is the spice of life.

Yea, we dine the full spectrum, within reason. With daughter+1, and not shopping at a mall, then a mid-upscale venue, good food or setting / view being priority.

Home cooking always best, usually, as we're both pretty handy & experienced in the kitchen.

Low & mid priced vendors, chains come in handy at times, especially 7-11 when O&A, or locally, well, not 7-11 locally, as always something a bit better or we'll dine in.

Almost as many great options in TH, as the USA. Not a whole missed, if anything playing expat in TH.

It's 2pm here still full from lunch. You sound like my wife always planning the next meal before the dishes are even done.

Meanwhile thinking about how kids nowadays pay way too much for live entertainment at Taylor Swift's concerts.

Back in the 90s got some discount tickets to the local county fair and took a friend.

It was wall to wall Chicanos and Vatos.

My friend was not amused.

I told her we're in the "wrong place" but it's the "right time".

I had some $8 Dr John tickets.

And man, he <deleted> jammed.

It was like an acid trip. 🤗

I wouldn't feed that to my dog or my worst enemy. That looks absolutely disgusting. Canned peas????

I need to go throw up, now.

Changing the subject ever so slightly... I had Linguine with courgette and prawns in a spicy pesto. Just had the leftovers for lunch 😋 Often the leftovers are tastier than the first sitting.

What's "courgette"?

Is that a French word? Is there a word for that in English?

You wouldn't be trying to sound pretentious, would you?

So it's fine dining with a private chef from France for you every day in Thailand then?

Wow.

Zuchini tastes like crap anyway. Not sure why anyone eats it, let alone tries to pass it off as fine dining.

Wow.

Zucchini Squash.

Som Tam Thai & Yum, little heavy on the peanuts & cashews. Most have had a bunch left over, as homestay hosted a large group yesterday. Empty now 👍

For me, chicken breast, pork loin, or steak, with brown rice, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, garlic, onions, mushrooms, olive oil drizzeled over it all, 2 eggs, some blueberries and strawberries, and a beetroot probiotic smoothie with a vitamn D, zinc, B-complex, and magnesium glysenate pill.... no sugary dessert, not good. Think I'm good to go on that for today.
