Hope it doesn't turn out to be like a chicken a la Kiev.

I'm having home made spaghetti with white sauce and spinach. Very nice.

Asean Now is supposed to be a forum where members can discuss issues, and help each other out with problems. This thread brings it down to the level of Farcebook, where most of the photos are of meals

  • Rustic pork stew, been cooking slowly since 11am. Pork butt, pearl onions, baby potatoes, green beans and carrots. Nice crusty loaf of sourdough and a green salad to go with it. Looks like lots of lef

Perhaps I buy a high quality of kitchen roll. In fact I buy recycled paper towels. But a muslin cloth will also do the trick. You don't want to scrub the skin off.

Perhaps you are correct. I buy the cheapo stuff at Makro, with half-sheet perforations, but try to tell the Mts to only use a half sheet...555.

I use my hands to clean the muck off my spuds.

I’d like to start a topic on food.

this thread is where people can post pictures of their dinner,

what they have had or about to have.

or any meal for that matter, can be breakfast or lunch as well.

Indian vindaloo is not western food. Here are a few examples of western and Thai foods. I like it ped pep. I eat spicier than my Thai family. I soak muddy ones in a bicarbonate of soda solution for a while.

I do like a good Indian curry and they don't have this effect on me.......

Finally, something different ...

image.png

Gaeng Paneng with a twist. Instead of just having thin slices of pork in the curry I now add thin half slices of potato as well to give it more body. Not authentic but tastes lovely , and why not ? There are potatoes in Gaeng Gari and Gaeng Masaman so why not Gaeng Paneng

Strange version of Stir fried chicken cashew, and not in a good way 🙄

Nice surfside setting though.
