Yes. There is some long held resentment by Palestinians vs. Thais on these grounds. It's not a major sentiment, or motivation, but it's there.

Muslims were killed in the Hamas attack as well - both from indiscriminate rocket fire, or murdered by Hamas 'fighters' (someone ought to enlighten the lady). Additionally, Hamas went into this knowing the consequences all to well, and expecting the Israeli response. There were no measure whatsoever taken to protect the population of the Gaza Strip, or provide warning. Further, Hamas calls on the people of Gaza not to evacuate, but stay in harm's way as the Israeli ground offensive looms. Some reports suggest active measures were taken by Hamas to hinder or block people from evacuating. Almost all of the people in the Gaza Strip are Muslim.

The Gaza Strip is not under Israeli occupation. The Hamas attack was in an area internationally recognized as Israeli territory. Are you one of the 'river-to-the-sea' crowd?

It is a well-known fact that Hamas neither cares about other Muslims in Gaza, nor beyond, but just their terrorist agenda. Gaza receives billions in humanitarian aid from around the world, but the corrupt Hamas clique just channels off most of it for their own purposes, e.g. building nice houses for themselves, while all around everything else in Gaza is falling apart. I wouldn't even be surprised if they had used international humanitarian aid to purchase the weapons to attack Israel...

Some of them probably worked at the farms along with the Thais, at least until Hamas took over Gaza in 2007, and Israel closed the borders.

The Israelis actually have a good reputation for paying their foreign workers and Palestinians decent wages. 

Of course this never gets mentioned by all the BDS groups in universities working to ban all Israeli products & investments.  Little do they know that Palestinians bring home $2 billion/year in income officially and up to double that if including undeclared wages.

The Foreign Ministry last evening (Sept. 14) confirmed that Thais were not their special target.

 

What a ridiculous comment by the Foreign Ministry.  They were more than happy to kill and capture Thais as a bonus and were after Israelis and any other nationality  visiting the area or working there.  Otherwise, why would they have shot Thais and Filipinos and dragged them off as hostages?

Self-evident accurate statement. The target of Hamas is zionist Jewish oppressors. Thais just happen to be working on Jewish owned farms and get rounded up. Possibly some of the Hamas terrorists came from the Deep South of Thailand, who knows it's not really important. The think is don't go fruit picking next year for wages that don't reflect the danger of the situation and location. 

I must say I am staggered by the bigotry, hatred  and total ignorance of the history of the Israeli oppression over the past 5 decades as demonstrated ion the comments.

Calling Hama animals? Animals don't do this sort of thing. People do this sort of thing, people with the bigotry, hatred and ignorance that such commenters display just well might.

A farmer is a "zionist Jewish oppressor"?  Here we have retarius fully in support of Hamas -- ANY civilian qualifies to be killed as they are, after all, ALL "zionist Jewish oppressors."
 

Putting aside all the Jewish deaths, I'm amazed you'd side with the murderers and kidnappers of 30 or so Thais -- over the people who employed them and apparently gave them good wages.  Disgusting.

Occupiers of what? get your facts straight. All of the people killed were on Israeli soil, most of them didn't live in that area and came from all over the country to a music festival. None of them were "occupiers". Israel left Gaza in 2005, until last week there was zero Israeli presence in Gaza. The "occupation" Hamas is claiming is all of Israel, as their stated goal is to throw Israelis in the sea and claim the entire country. That's the kind of evil Israelis have had to deal with for generations.

If you're not a Muslim, you are an infidel to them, and thus worthy of death. Simple.

Killing innocent lives in such brutality is never justifiable. It doesn't matter the religion, the stance, whatever it is.. Taking innocent lives of children and innocent civilians is never right. People online are so quick to take sides and justify the heinous and ugly acts, simply to inflate their own ego and viewpoint. In doing so, you've just lowered yourself to the depths of ugliness that humanity and society can go to.

Hamas is on the side of pushing all Jews into the sea, erasing the entire nation of Israel, and installing an Issis style Islamic caliphate in the region.
