LOPBURI - Thai police, in a relentless overnight operation, captured a criminal who had robbed a British tourist, M. Pearson., 37, in Lopburi.

The incident occurred on October 21st, when Pearson was confronted by a tall individual on a white motorcycle, reported Daily News.

The assailant grabbed her blue shoulder bag, which contained an iPhone XS, 1,500 Baht in cash, and credit cards, before escaping near a railway line.

Different police teams worked together in a careful search. The urgency of the operation was heightened by the victim's foreign nationality, prompting concerns over the potential repercussions for Thailand’s esteemed tourism industry.

The suspect, a 26-year-old identified as Fluke, was apprehended in the Tale Chubsorn district, following the issuance of a court arrest warrant.

The police's thorough investigation linked Fluke conclusively to the robbery.

This swift and efficient action reaffirms the dedication of the Thai police to uphold the safety and security of both its citizens and international guests, ensuring Thailand remains a hospitable and secure destination for global travelers.

Getting ready to kiss the ground the Thai police levitates over...

Nah, that left a bad taste.

"Made up propaganda" springs to mind ..

Yet the Thai police don't lift a finger for people being run down in the streets, including back alleys without sidewalks.  They even said pedestrians have to pay for any damages to the cars that run them down!

I think the only way he was caught, was by her phone still being on and she had the iPhone tracker ‘Where is my phone’ on and they found him. This was just a basic gps find. Not a relentless search by the police.

Over glorification by the police and press has made this into another BS story.

However, a good ending.

The reason I was 'pedantic' about the guy would be very obvious to some-one who was not distracted by calling people names as you decided to do LOL... back to washing the dishes for you luv...

Why do you assume he was Russian? Could be a "Tall Thai" - after all the new PM is 192 cm tall (6ft 3 ins), or Dutch - they have the tallest people in the World?

However, with a name like "Fluke" and the " "relentless overnight operation by the Thai police", one could assume that this is a staged incident  designed to ensure that the "swift and efficient action reaffirms the dedication of the Thai police to uphold the safety and security of both its citizens and international guests, ensuring Thailand remains a hospitable and secure destination for global travelers." 🙂

Who writes this stuff?

The Thai police response this bag-snatching incident begs the questions:

Where is the self-congratulatory photo of the entire force - all smiles and professional pride, happily handing over the bag,

complete with contents, to the happy and grateful tourist?

And why isn't there a picture of her, the victim, and another with the blurred photo of the thief?

Pat on the back for the police. Credit where its due?

Surname Pearson. Niet!

Not relevant I guess, but all the years living there the only time someone tried to scam me was a guy from my home country.

Topic could be interesting, but the tone of this article is definitely too weird...

Wow police doing there job and it becomes newsworthy headline
