A 34 year old man is seeking legal assistance after being tricked into marriage and deceived out of a 2 million-baht inheritance by a village headman’s daughter.

After the alleged deceit, the man was expelled from the house and his wife’s former lover moved in. He now hopes the lawyer will help him reclaim his lost assets.

The man, a home renovation worker, recounts meeting the 27 year old woman via a dating app. After a month of conversation and assistance in a legal case related to his father’s inheritance, she invited him to live with her. After one to two weeks, they registered their marriage.

The man gave his wife a dowry of 200,000 baht (US$5,517) in cash and 7 baht of gold and repaid the 60,000 baht she had lent him for the inheritance case.

You think it "interesting" that people of the same nationality/race/ethnicity cheat and betray each other?

I think you will find it a persistently recurring theme in human relationships since "time immemorial".

This is news when a Thai man is ripped off but not when it happens to a Farang.

Legal advice? He needs a psychologist

No problem as he is Thai and not a "falang".

Good chances to obtain justice.

Read the full OP.

Money + women rarely yield a positive result. Always keep assets seperate, hidden and be worth more alive, then when dead.

It would be if the foreigner reported it to the media as this Thai did!

wife then took his inheritance money, asking him to pay off her household debts, which totalled around 2 million baht. Three months into their marriage, she ceased communication with him, denying him food and a place to sleep before forcing him out of the house. After his eviction, his wife’s ex-boyfriend moved back in, reported

♬Her face was always smiling
Guess she was always laughing at me
I said her face was always smiling
Guess she was always laughing at me
If I'd realised
I'd be less suprised
To find that she was laughing at me♬

What are the two devices in front of the pointing man?

"Easy come...easy go..."

"A fool and his money..."

Natural selection.

Media microphones

why is he wearing a face mask?

I don't know Thailand details that well. Is there a way for him to find out if she's taken out a life insurance policy on him? Considering the story, I'll bet she has. And I'll bet if he makes too many waves trying to collect what he's been cheated out of....... she'll collect on that, too! No reason to think she'd stop at grand larceny and fraud, right?

Here is the help; move curser to FULL STORY and click on it.

Always remember one very important fact. You are a man. You have as much control as you are able and willing to establish. You set the agenda. Time is always your ally. Not hers. She is almost always going to be in a hurry to make things happen. If it is good, it will get better. If there are issues, they will reveal themselves over time. Committing yourself to a relationship after knowing somebody a month, to me is the very definition of insanity.

And lastly, she has more than likely been working as a bar girl, in a special massage parlor, or as an escort or freelancer. Very few real "civilians" would move that fast, nor be that forward. Buyer beware. And be good to yourself. Be a man. Leave behind the Western ways of emasculation.
