SOON after a giant octopus ride at a funfair beneath Rama VIII Bridge malfunctioned, throwing three people to the ground last night (Oct. 26) the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) quickly closed both this and the risky flying bee ride, Matichon newspaper said.

Elderly Man Killed in Collision at Uthai Thani Intersection

A 72-year-old man was fatally struck by a pickup truck while crossing an intersection near his home in Uthai Thani province. The incident occurred on October 27th near the Tambon Khok Mo administration office in Thap Than district.

A mentally unstable man caused chaos in a Thai neighbourhood when he brandished a knife, injuring a resident before threatening a female teacher. The teacher’s husband, a police officer, fired warning shots to subdue the man.

The body of a newborn baby was discovered abandoned in a forest by a 27 year old man, Sathorn Raya In, who was foraging for mushrooms near the road. The incident occurred last night, and was reported to the local police station in Phetchaburi province.

Myanmar human trafficking ring: 153 Thais rescued thanks to Thailand Foreign Ministry

A human trafficking ring in the northern Shan State of Myanmar has ensnared 219 Thai nationals, but thanks to the efforts of the Foreign Ministry, 153 have been rescued. Kanchana Patarachoke, the ministry’s spokeswoman, shared that these individuals had been deceived with promises of work in Laukkaing, only to be assaulted by their employers.

Murder: man shot dead by intoxicated perpetrator in unprovoked attack in Surin province

A local man, 48 year old Gowit Boonthan was shot dead by an intoxicated perpetrator in an unprovoked attack. The incident occurred yesterday evening around 6.30pm while Gowit was in a pick-up truck driven by his younger brother.
