Re-entry Permit With A Tv? Uk Pp Holder

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am in Thailand with a 60 day tourist visa (tv) & UK pp. I've only used 2 weeks of it and will need to go overseas for two weeks work immediately and then plan to return and continue my holidays in Thailand.

Can I get a re-entry permit with the existing tv or does the tv expire as soon as I leave Thailand? If I can get the re-entry is this using the TM8 form and submitted at BKK airport for 1000baht, how long does that take to allow for check in? Also when I return how many days will be left on the tv - do I loose the days I am out of Thailand?

Cheers

DB

It would be better to obtain from Immigration before you go to the airport just for safety but if you get at airport it must be done after you check-in for flight but before you clear immigration (understand there is a desk in the queue area that you do it at). You will need photos and they can not be obtained at airport and 1,000 baht.

It will permit you to keep the same "permitted to stay until" date that you currently have in your passport. You will lose days you are not here.
