Popular Post Social Media Posted November 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2023 Ukraine’s president has a message for Donald Trump: Come visit if you think you will be so much help. Volodymyr Zelensky threw down part challenge, part invitation on Sunday during an interview with Meet the Press on NBC. “Former President Trump said that [in] about 24 hours, that he can manage it and finish the war,” Mr Zelesnky told NBC’s Kristin Welker, noting that President Joe Biden, his likely 2024 opponent, had already visited. “So he’s very welcome as well... I invite President Trump.” The Ukrainian leader’s words hold a double-edged meaning. The invitation primarily serves as a response to Mr Trump’s ongoing comments about the Ukraine-Russia war, which he has laid at the feet of the Biden administration to play into the narrative of a “world falling apart” under the Democratic president’s leadership. Mr Zelensky has enjoyed a strong alliance with Mr Biden, and less so with his Republican counterpart whose party has emerged as increasingly sceptical of aid packages to the US’s European ally. Secondly, the mention of Mr Biden serves to present another challenge to the former president: A play at his desire to look presidential, and as a credible alternative to the man in the White House. By reminding Mr Trump of the incumbent president’s clandestine visit to Ukraine earlier this year, the Ukrainian leader inherently suggests that Mr Trump lacks the courage to visit the war-torn country. thaibeachlovers Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Trump doesn't need to go to Ukraine to stop the war. Simply stopping all military supplies would be an end to it. He could simply tell Zelensky that if he didn't negotiate with Russia that the bullets and shells would stop. War over. 1 3 1

How will Trump package this as anything other than the US surrendering to Russia? 5

Neither Trump nor anyone else can. Imo such a move would be seen for what it is: A reward for Russian aggression. 2 3

You do understand that your boy _rump is not in charge of anything in the US at the moment? Or do you think he actually won in 2020 and is controlling the US government secretly from a golf course in Florida 2 1

He'd package it a "stopping the killing and preserving the rest of Ukraine". Putin gets the 4 Oblasts and Crimea, which he already has. The residents of the 4 Oblasts and Crimea will get the leadership they actually voted for, (even if the methods and results were questionable). Ukraine gets entry into NATO, which is an absolute guarantee against further Russian aggression. Instead of sending $$billions for bombs, the West will send even more $$billions to rebuild, and that political hot potato goes away for every politician whose constituents question the wisdom of sponsoring a forever war. Oh, and Trump gets to blame the "L" on the other guys, because Putin took Crimea under Obama and the 4 Oblasts under Biden. Crickets under Trump's watch... Edited November 8, 2023 by impulse 2 2

I'm not in full agreement, but I concede that your provision that Urkaine be guaranteed NATO membership makes the overall proposal worth considering. However that is a decision and negotiation for the Ukrainian people. 1

You don’t have to worry about your hero going to Ukraine it’s a war zone trump is a New York City trust fund baby and a coward he would never expose himself to any possible danger to himself 2
