American woman sexually assaulted in Bangkok

Maybe next time she will NOT invite someone back to her place.  Especially someone she just met.  It's just not a smart move.

That has to be the Lamest excuse I've ever heard in my life, I don't condone rape, but really she must have fancied him to invite him back, why not say sorry but I'm not attracted to you in that way.

  • So, paying the bin at the bar, gives a man the right to rape. I can hear that fits right in with the male Thai society. How do you know the guy have a small penis? Have you dated him too?

  • A woman who agree to a stranger male to spend the night at her place is giving the wrong signals, no wonder the man thought that making a sexual advances would be ok by her, it's really a no brainier,

When the first response to a thread is this, I rest my case that this forum is going to the dogs.

What is ridiculous regarding a rape claim?

The questions just keep coming did he admit they had sex?

Did he admit that she said no.

No, no one is condoning rape.  It is just that her level of brain power comes into question when she allows a man she does not really know to stay at her apartment

He must have his own place and if he needs transport that is his problem and a flag that this is definitely the wrong guy.

But there are some grey areas.

Maybe for you, old white man. However, the world is changing. It's a matter of respect. Respect women's right to say NO!

And people wonder why most women who are raped or assaulted do not report it to the police, just take a look at reactions from this cesspit of a forum to get an idea why

Cesspit - absolutely the right word, well said.

BS.....

What was she thinking, inviting a stranger back to her place?

  • Popular Post

I went on a few Tinder dates where women would just invite me to their place insisting on no sex (on a first date). A lot of women in Thailand (especially career working women) will invite you to their crib because they want a company or to get to know you better. This is not an excuse to get rapey if she says no.

What? I've been invited back to countless girls' places over the years and I didn't rape any of them. Maybe she was expecting that?

Was she stupid enough to invite a stranger to her apartment? What did she expect?

She expected he would go to sleep and not try to have sex with her.

Have you never been in that situation?   I've been with women dozens of times where they wanted to just get some sleep, but where fine with me staying and sleeping next to them.  I never tried to get them to change their mind by touching them up or forcing myself on them.  If they say they want to sleep then you let them sleep.

Those same women all slept with me when they weren't tired, or didn't have to get up early for work the next day.

If you can't sleep next to a woman without trying to initiate sex then there is something very wrong with you!

Maybe that he seemed like a nice guy and she wanted to get to know him.

Inviting him to her place and even agreeing to let him spend the night does not equate to agreeing to have sex.

She gave a specific reason why she didn't want sex that night.   Maybe she was very attracted to him and was planning to have sex with him on Saturday night after getting to know him better and when she wasn't going to have to get up for work the next day!

So girls that you have never met before, so strangers, have invited you back to there residence? Countless times?

Lucky you?

Nothing to do with victim blaming.

If people like her were not so dumb and thought a little more, there would be less rapes and crimes.

This is pure victim blaming. You’re blaming women for not thinking, rather than men who violently assault them. The vast majority of men are not criminals, but maybe you hang out in a different crowd than I do.

I was merely parroting the wording of whatever misogynist it was I was responding to.

Obviously,  that's why I am asking what exactly happened,  duh.

Rape - “The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.”

Sexual assault and rape are often the same thing.

I'm disgusted at some of the replies so far.

Just because a woman agrees to let you come home with her and agrees to let you sleep in the same bed, DOES NOT mean you can 'try it on' and see if you can change her mind if she's said "No sex, I want to sleep".

Do you always state the obvious?

You obviously live in cuckooland

I am a realistic person

Think the best of people but always be ready for the worst.

So you think she was smart allowing a man she just met on what is effectively a sex dating site, and then is surprised that he exploits the opportunity.

How naive are you?

Let me get this straight she meets a guy on Tinder they decide to hook up in a bar they have a few drinks he asks if he can spend the night with her she agrees on condition no sexual intercourse takes place , they go back to her apartment did they share the same bed or was he on the couch or floor , did he penetrate her he gets interrogated by the police I hope they didn’t use plastic bags to get his confession  but what did he confess to many unanswered questions

I’m not saying whether she was smart or not; I don’t know the woman; but that doesn’t matter in the least. What matters is, you’re putting the blame entirely on her for being attacked by a date who turned on her. I do not live in “cuckooland,” nor am I “naïve,” thank you. But you have a depraved view of humanity. Good luck with that.

Tinder is a sex dating site since Covid a lot of the girls couldn’t work in the bars and massage so turned to these type of sites Thai friendly is another one . I’ve used tinder several times I’m 72 living in my own and the girls you end up meeting eventually you find out that they are freelancers they never returned to there old jobs . Having lived and worked in the USA there are a lot of woman who are up for a bit of fun outside of there normal everyday life . It seems scary that you can now meet a woman on a dating site and before you know it youve been a accused of a sexual assault I think I’ll go back to my old massage lady she can service me once a week in my home that seems to be the safest option
