For the past year or so I have been moving money into Thailand through the New York branch of Bangkok Bank. This morning I noticed that the account that was Bangkok Bank New York has been changed to Evolve Bank and Trust. Does anyone know anything about a change?

 

Not sure what you mean as Bangkok Bank NY uses your Thai bank account number for transfers.

I would like to know how you manage to do this, since all my transfers are rejected since they are not IAHA and no retail bank in the US does IAHA transfers.

Many if not most US banks can use IAHA, the problem is they don't always want to.

A transfer (wire transfer from my Schwab brokerage account) completed OK. Something tells me this is part of the preparation prior to enacting the new tax law.
