Air quality in 24 provinces of Thailand today is below standard, with the amount of PM2.5 contamination across the capital exceeding the 37.5 micron (µm) standard, the Pollution Control Department reports.

In 23 provinces, where PM2.5 levels are monitored, it was measured at over 37.5µm in Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, Nan, Lampang, Phrae, Phitsanuloke, Phichit, Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Suphan Buri, Ratchaburi, Loei, Kalasin, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima.

Air quality in the eastern region is moderate, with the PM2.5 measured at between 19.7µm and 36.3µm. In southern provinces, air quality is described as very good, with PM2.5 measured today at 6.4µm to 26.9µms.

About 4 am was the worst. Air cleaner in bedroom started sounding like plane taking off, and looking out the window it was just smog... couldn't see any lights beyond maybe 50-100m.

I see clean air act is having an immediate effect...

If I remember correctly: I read the same article end 2022, Jan 2021, Feb 2019, Dec 2018….
