Picture courtesy of VN Expresss Vietnam's higher education sector is making notable strides as 16 of its universities have been featured in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. This marks an increase of three institutions compared to the previous year. The Impact Rankings assess universities globally based on their contributions to the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aim to foster global peace, fairness, and prosperity. This year, an impressive 2,526 institutions participated. From Vietnam, FPT University, National Economics University - Hanoi, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, and University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City achieved rankings in the 301–400 bracket globally. Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University secured positions in the 401–600 range, while Van Lang University was placed within 601–800. Both Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam National University - Hanoi appeared in the 801–1,000 category. Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Nam Can Tho University, and Phenikaa University were ranked between 1,001 and 1,500. Additionally, Dong A University, Hue University, and Lac Hong University were listed below 1,501st. At the top of the rankings, Australia's Western Sydney University held the first position for the fourth year running. Asian universities, including those from Vietnam, constituted over half of the institutions featured, reflecting the growing importance and recognition of the region in global education. Israel's nuclear capability
Estimates of Israel's stockpile range between 90 and 400 nuclear warheads Its first deliverable nuclear weapon is thought to have been completed in late 1966 or early 1967; which would make it the sixth country in the world to have developed them.[2][22][23] In November 2023, amid the Gaza war, the junior Heritage Minister Amihai Eliyahu publicly considered dropping a nuclear bomb over Gaza, which some took to be a tacit admission that Israel possesses such a capability, Prime Minister Netanyahu reprimanded and suspended the minister in question.[27][28] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel I would have thought Israel has enough nuclear weapons already itself to frighten off any near adversary. Even the Iranian mullahs don't want to reach paradise too early. An interesting article below from NBC News https://www.nbcnews.com/world/middle-east/know-israels-nuclear-weapons-program-rcna213676
