BANGKOK (NNT) - The government reaffirmed its commitment to addressing various problems faced by residents in the northern region.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Anucha Nakasai have taken steps to address the challenges in Uttaradit province.

They inspected the Pha Chuk Dam project and other developmental initiatives. These projects are crucial for improving water management, infrastructure, and agricultural practices in the region.

During the trip, the officials discussed the government’s dedication to enhancing water management. The Prime Minister reiterated that improving water management is essential to prevent flooding and droughts, which are common in the area.

He also visited a local OTOP center in Laplae district, to observe state programs related to tourism, soft-power promotion and the distribution of land deeds for occupation purposes.

Uttaradit’s role in Thailand’s agriculture and tourism was also highlighted during their visit. The province is recognized for its importance as a key connector to neighboring provinces. This strategic location enhances its value in both sectors.

The Prime Minister addressed the critical issue of air quality, especially concerning PM2.5 particles. He emphasized the government’s efforts to tackle forest fires and reduce agricultural waste burning. These measures are crucial for improving air quality in the region.

Another significant issue discussed was the problem of informal debt among the residents.

And in Bangkok which is always high in pollution stats?

No forest burning , yet pollution from vehicles, construction remains very high

Let's make Chang mai the most polluted city on the planet again !

Fkn Idiots.

I predict that in one year the air pollution will be the same, the debt will be worse, and we will have had either a flood or drought or both.
