A devastating fire blazed through three textile warehouse facilities in the Kabin Buri district of Prachin Buri province, causing an estimated damage of over 100 million baht.

The fire, which lasted for over eight hours, was reported in the early hours yesterday at the S. Chutima textile warehouse facility, located in Lat Takhian subdistrict. The textile warehouse compound, spanning an area of 25 rai (equivalent to 40,000 square metres), was under the jurisdiction of Sa Bua police station, according to Deputy Inspector Thanawat Jandee.

The fire, fuelled by an excess of 100 tonnes of fabric and plastic materials coupled with the dry weather, spread rapidly. More than 10 fire engines from Lat Takhian and the surrounding municipalities, along with rescue teams, were dispatched to control the escalating situation.
