A Thai driver issued a warning to other motorists after a young windscreen washer showed violent behaviour and threatened him for refusing his windscreen washing service at Asoke Intersection in Bangkok.

Anyone driving cars in Bangkok may be familiar with young boys or girls selling garlands or offering car window wiping services on roads. They seized opportunities of the heavy traffic in the city to do the job, and they mostly disappeared at each intersection across the city.

 

Some of the children started offering window washing services without asking the permission of the drivers. So, some drivers chose to turn their eyes away from them to avoid the services, and others tried to be busy with their phones or something else when the children approached.

 

However, this Thai man decided to record the video of the boy washing his windscreen without permission at the Asoke intersection, and this action made the windscreen washer show his aggressive behaviour.

In the video shared on the Facebook account on December 23, the boy was seen banging on the car, pointing his finger in the driver’s face and saying…

“What is your problem, staring like that?”

it's downright terrible anyone has to resort to washing windscreens to earn shekels. But I suppose it's better than robbing the 7-Elevens as they do in Kanada, where inflation has priced out even the regular workmen.

Yes it does, while Thai kids might have some rights to work, non Thai kids don't, and for all we know, they were probably

illegally brought to Thailand by some criminal gangs to use them...

You don't have to give em anything. But they're out there doing honest work to make a few bahts to buy a burger. Not an easy gig squeegeeing windscreens buddy. I seen it all the time in Truedough's Kanada.

 

Me a liberal? Far from it buddy. Far from it.

Not much to comment on or get excited about. Windscreen washers in cities all over the world tend to be aggressive. They lead a tough life.

The mild and meek garland sellers are quite quaint, and  fit right in. This type of aggressive  behaviour is a foreign import we can do without. Won't last long, I suspect, given the hair trigger tempers of some Thais. There's a reason, in a country where knives are ubiquitous and guns not uncommon, that people tend to be exceptionally polite and non confrontational; except when they're  drunk or high, of course, and social norms break down.

Just turn on the wipers at high speed, with washers. simple especially if you have seen his behavior in front, my wipers would have splashed him even on the side.

Years ago, in India (New Delhi), there were crews of them all over. Player A catch the attention doing something weird, Player B squirting some bird dropping like goo on windshield, player C offering to wipe. Saw more than one beatings by angry drivers, with the resulting messy traffic jams.

 

Aggression from these? Only druggies, I think.

I can not understand why the drivers don't say :-

• "Go away from my car.
• Don't touch my car
• or some negative words instead of saying nothing !
