In 2027 I plan to switch from 800k to the 65k monthly non O visa based on retirement ...

For several years I've used an agent...the agent deposits the 800k.

My income is well above 65k and I have Thai bank accounts with 12 months of deposits from overseas.

Now ..no agent....My plan is to leave Thailand a few days before my current non O expires. Apply for a 90 day non O visa....(Best embassy for this?), show 3 months ??? of 65k....Travel into Thailand. Then apply for a 12 month non O ..show 12 months of 65k deposits. The transfers have correct " Trade" abbreviation.

Any issues that you can see?

Is this a solid plan?...

First extension has to be with 800,000 so your plan falls flat right there.

As treetops correctly stated the first extension on a 90-day non-immigrant type O Visa has to be with banked money..

So you either keep using an agent for your extensions

or

you leave the country, get a new Non-O, bank 800k in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the year extension.
