proton
Its 150 wat WP 155, 11 years old, had to replace leaking tank last year, After that it started pulsing and never did find a solution. Now its not kicking in properly for the water downstairs, but upstairs it's still OK which seems odd. Tried bleeding the tank and altering the pressure switch screw but no change. Cannot understand why it works for upstairs but stopped on the ground floor, just a trickle from taps there.
carlyai
Stop the water flow upstairs and check again. (Turn the valve off feeding upstairs.)

Will B Good
The pressure valve? That would explain why upstairs is okay....greater back pressure. Take the cover off the pressure valve, using an OO hammer give it a good few taps....spray with ant killer and then lightly oil. Good luck.

I'd do what Will B Good suggests (I still can't see why you'de have bad pressure downstairs but not upstairs). Sounds to me like a blockage, but I don't know your setup. I'd make sure I had good flow into the pump and out of the pump before thinking of buying a new pump. You can buy a pressure guage and screw on one of your take on the pump outlet to see what the pressure varies between. I'll go outside and take a pic of mine. 2
carlyai
Pics of my pressure guage and pump. If you find the pressure is down, you can always buy a new impellar....not too expensive, as you've already bought a new tank.
lopburi3
Is pump full time or just activated when city water pressure low? Is pump actually starting when downstairs tap is opened? Did you have someone do the tank change (can be problematic)? If you have made pressure adjustments likely best to have a tech take a look (any shop that sells pumps can recommend someone) - pumps/water can be very frustrating so well worth the cost. Be very careful as adjustments can expose hot wire (even when turned off - not always the hot line they hook up to switch). Pump starts once for downstairs, but not long enough, mrs got a real expert to fit the tank- a van driver!

UWEB
Buy a new Pump, it's just 5.500 THB. Not the trouble worth to repair such an old Pump.

Moonlover
14 hours ago, UWEB said: Have you ever cleaned the small sieve in your Water Tabs and Shower Heads? Good suggestion. If the pump is working and delivering water upstairs, that suggests there's nothing wrong with the pump. You need to concentrate your efforts on seeking out was seems to be a blockage in the downstairs plumbing.

Actually if built like my old 405 model the pressure sensor was a separate hole in water tank that had to be installed - if van driver did the tank replacement and pressure never worked right perhaps it was not even installed on the new tank? 1
