Popular Post snoop1130
Three former MPs of the Bhumjaithai party have been stripped of their right to contest elections for life and have had their voting rights suspended for ten years by the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders. In a ruling read on Wednesday, the court also banned them from holding any political office after they were found guilty of allowing their parliamentary membership cards to be used by their fellow MPs to vote in parliament. On May 18th last year, the same court sentenced Chalong Toedweerapong, former MP of Constituency 1 of Phatthalung province, Poomsit Kongmee, former MP of Constituency 2 of Phatthalung province and Natee Ratchakitprakarn, a party-list MP, to nine month in prison for grossly unethical conduct. zzaa09
Who's to say that this type of unscrupulous activity isn't commonplace among parliamentarians? By the very nature of their positions [politicians], they're criminals. Any such sentences are too light and trivial.....to be expected. The elite circles washing one another. Several years in a real prison [Bang Kwang or Klong Prem] would suffice.

Lapun
According to the PBS link, they basically allowed other MPs to vote on their behalf, although they denied that they allowed it. Pretty much a misdemeanor compared the the graft & corruption that goes on in government. How about banning all politicians who cannot explain their huge increases in wealth of them & their families whilst in office - better still, put them in jail for graft & corruption.
bamnutsak
In related BJT Crime Watch news: The Constitutional Court will rule on BJT stalwart/scion, Saksayam Chidchob, next Wednesday for 'Share Concealment'. The CC has to tread carefully on this case as they are set to rule on Pita's ITV share-holding case on 24 January and his LM case on 31 January.
