Starbucks in London will not even heat a muffin upon request just incase the staff burn their fingers. You go figure it out.

So in response to a firework factory explosion that killed 23 people, you compared that with a hot muffin in starbucks, to show us how regulations are wrong?

So I will ask again, do you think there should be no regulations?

Do you think that the a factory explosion that kills 23 is acceptable?

The primary ingredient in fireworks is black powder aka gunpowder. It is very sensitive to ignition from sparks and friction . It is likely that the factory was making gunpwder on site and filling fireworks.

Unlike the last firework incident in Thailand this factory was in an isolated location or the death toll could have been much higher. The use of light construction of buildings is deliberate in order to avoid confinement of explosion so no surprise that the 'factory' was levelled. The license, and regulations if followed would limit the number of workers permitted in certain areas and the amount of explosive stored on site.

The good news is that the blast did not blow any of the 'bling' off the police chief's uniform.

My sympathies to the families of those who died in the explosion.

Fireworks are shot off at all hours of the night EVERY night  on Jomtien Beach ,

even though it is NOT any special day on the calendar.

A couple of tourists get their jollies and manage to create the effect of a WAR ZONE

with bombs waking up thousands of nearby resident,  into the wee hours of the night EVERY night.

It is totally unnecessary to set off explosive noise makers late at night

in order for a small few to have fun on their holidays

at the expense of the sleep and sanity of thousands of nearby denizen.

POLICE - please effect some law and order , and bring a halt to this insanity.

Fast Forward *5 minutes* & * 12 minutes*  to see & hear what I'm talking about

-- this is going on EVERY night, not just New Years Eve

Not the first and not the last time that fireworks causes people's death.

Absolutely nobody needs fireworks!

But I have to agree that the world is already overcrowded. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So ... build a new "factory", hire new staff - and wait for the next blast.

Survivors tell of tragic losses in firecracker factory explosion

Two people, happy to have survived a massive blast at a firecracker factory in Suphan Buri province on Wednesday, say they are sad over the loss of many of their family members and relatives in the accident, which claimed 23 lives.

Namfon Boonklom said she left the factory shortly before the explosion, because one of her sons needed some money and had insisted that she go home to give it to him. “Usually, he would visit the factory to get the money, but yesterday he changed his mind. He called me repeatedly, so I left the factory for home,” she said.

The explosion occurred about 30 minutes later. Another son of hers called her and told her about the accident. That is when she learned about it.

Mental Care Unit Deployed to Assist Victims of Suphanburi Fireworks Factory Explosion

SUPHAN BURI (NNT) - Dr. Cholnan Srikaew, Minister of Public Health, has led a team to the province of Suphanburi to provide medical and public health assistance to those affected by the fireworks factory explosion.

He dispatched the Mental Health Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (MCATT) to the area to support the mental health of the families, and directed the Department of Health to monitor health and environmental impacts.

Dr. Cholnan stated that the immediate focus is on providing mental health care to the families of the deceased. Identification and confirmation of the victims' identities will be conducted by the forensic team from Chaophraya Yommaraj Hospital.

Regarding the health and environmental impacts of the chemical substances from the exploded fireworks, since the incident occurred in a rice field located over a kilometer away from residential areas and without nearby drinking water sources, the impact is expected to be minimal. However, the Department of Health has been assigned to closely monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of the nearby residents.

Previously, while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin called officials in Thailand to stay updated on the situation. He instructed the Governor of Suphanburi Province to expedite resolution and provide immediate hospitalization for the injured.

Following this, the Prime Minister instructed regional police to also closely monitor the situation. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit has already been deployed to scan the area for any remaining explosive threats.

The premier also said that legal procedures regarding the legitimacy of the factory's operations are to be addressed subsequently.

There was a big explosion and fire at the dragon museum in Suphanburi city a few years back and they had to rebuild a lot of it.

You have to be careful when storing/handling/displaying dead dragons.

They are liable to explosive spontaneous combustion if their fire chamber isn't properly drained during the postmortem preservation process.

What happens is that any residual fire liquid crystallises and.........etc, etc.

According to the Factory Act, the setting up of a facility which hires fewer than 50 people or is equipped with machinery under 50 horse power does not require a license from the Industrial Works Department,

And what about factories that handle explosive materials, regardless of how may employees there aare?

Living in Thailand is like living in the old wild west, you have to take the good with the bad.  If you want a nanny state government, seek life elsewhere,  Thailand is not for the easily offended.

Shame the 23 poor souls who were killed in the explosion were unable to take that advice.

No bee in my bonnet, just calling out your silly posts.

So you will not answer my questions, and so you must still think that a hot muffin justifies having no regulation, and these deaths are acceptable.

Lucky for her. But if the son was mine I'd have told him to get ******. Typical Thai male entitlement, bowed down to by the mother. Pathetic. And we've all seen or read of the result.

So you have nothing.

Sad little keyboard warrior.

Maybe you should volunteer to help remove the bodies next time there are deaths after a lack of regulations, or would we find you shouting at a girl in Starbucks that your muffin is not hot enough.
