Popular Post webfact
Suphanburi—On January 20th, 2024, Thai local media reported an irritated elephant attacking people at the Suphanburi Provincial Red Cross fair in Suphanburi, causing four injuries with one person in critical condition. The annual Don Chedi Memorial and Red Cross fair was held from January 18th to February 1st, and on the incident day, many people went to the fair to watch an elephant show and feed elephants. However, while a mother elephant and a calf were preparing for the show, one of the fair-goers allegedly teased the calf, causing the mother elephant to become angry and attack people, according to Thai local media. That's what happens when you use animals as entertainment. 4 1

They are used as entertainment, but cruelly kept, usually on very short chains. Sad to see. 2 1
brianthainess
I hope the one critically injured is the one who teased the calf.
thecyclist
Tease an 🐘. Crazy. If you feel the need to tease animals, get a housecat. Anything bigger than that is a recipe for disaster.(well cows and pigs might be ok)And these idiots picked the biggest and strongest land animal there is. What is next, go into the water and poke a shark in the eye . 1

Utterly disgusting.

No, I don't think that. Cats actually love the "teasing ".Dangle something in front them, they will paw it, and play with it. So do puppies. There are 2 ways of teasing, a playful one, and a try to make angry one. The second falls under cruelty towards animals. The same with people,a harmless joshing around or tease to humiliate. Huge differences Language can be ambiguous, a point you seem to have overlooked in order to feel "righteous outrage ".If that is what makes your day, be my guest. 1
