Can anyone tell me what the channel code  SYSG means on a statement - better still anyone have a list of these codes and there meanings Some are obvious such as ATM but others a bit more difficult).

Suspect you are asking about SCB (Siam Commercial Bank).  Do not have accounts with them anymore but some banks list on passbook.

Google says - SYSG = Deposit System Generated.  Also links to  a few lists.
