Not sure how anyone can state CGM is waste of time/money, as it shows in real time, immediate results you food intake has on blood sugar spikes. A few things I tested surprised me, both good & bad. A few didn't and simple enforced what I thought, simple falls in common sense territory. I really only tested the crappiest foods, except last couple days of having. Got to the point, I could predict the spike and longevity of it, which to me, that info was immessureable, moving forward. Pasta & rice were the worse. Potatoes, not as bad as you'd think. Pasta bad for me, as I ate a lot, since not a fan of rice. Did the paste / Thai fusion thingy, and not good at all. Only pasta I do now, is egg noodles, and sparingly, hoping the extra egg protein, lessens the spike from flour.
